Haven't we been through this before?
The Chief Rabbi of France recently emphasized that French Jewry should certainly make aliyah, but "by choice, and not because they're fleeing anti-Semitism".
After all, with dead and dying Jews littering the streets of European towns and cities these days, one wouldn't want to give the impression that we were scared, or didn't feel at home in Paris and Toulouse and elsewhere.
G-d forbid.
We have to choose to go to Eretz Yisrael, yidden.
That's right.
When the killing stops, maybe. When the antisemitism dies down. Then no one will think of us unflatteringly.
Take your time, brothers.
The good Rav is concerned with your pride.
With how the goyim might perceive you.
Better to be butchered on the streets of Rome and Vienna and Amsterdam than to have them think you ran for your life.
