Very humorous. I found this poem scribbled onto the dust jacket of a Steinsaltz gemara in a used bookstore in Jerusalem yesterday.
Had to copy it down.
Friendly Religion
I asked an old friend his religion one day.
"Why, Anti-semitic," he said.
I asked which denomination he was.
"Protestant," the reply, "and well bred."
"Are Catholics anti-semitic?" I dared.
"Oh yes," he assured me, "quite so.
But not in the same quite modernly way,
You see, by a Pope they are led,
While we, on the other hand,
Search for new ways
To see that the Jews end up dead."
Is that brlliant?
